Premium Pulman Tray Dryer

Overview:

The Premium Pulman Tray Dryer is a direct-heated system designed for drying solid or liquid materials. It uses forced air circulation in a cross-flow configuration to achieve effective drying. Depending on the heating method, strip heaters (for electric heating) or steam tube coils (for steam heating) are installed on both sides. Insulation is carefully engineered to ensure optimal energy efficiency based on the application requirements.

Construction:

• Body: Made from mild steel (M.S.) sheets with a double-walled design and reinforced with an angular M.S. frame.
• Door: Constructed from double-walled M.S. sheets and hinged to sit flush when closed. A latch mechanism ensures secure sealing.
• Trays: Each tray measures 800 × 400 × 30 mm, made from M.S., stainless steel (S.S.), aluminum, galvanized iron (G.I.), FRP, or polypropylene. The tray trolley, built from M.S. angle, can hold up to 48 trays.
• Finish: Internal surfaces have an aluminum-resistant coating; external surfaces feature hammer-tone grey spray paint.

Heating Options:

• Electric Heating: Utilizes strip heaters positioned on both sides of the dryer. Capable of achieving temperatures up to 250°C.
• Steam Heating: Uses a coil of continuous finned tubes (tested up to 300 psi) with a working temperature limit of 100°C.
• Combination Heating: Electrical-cum-steam heating options are also available.

Temperature Control:

• Equipped with an electronic temperature indicator.
• Temperature is regulated through:
  • Thermostat for electrical systems.
  • Steam controller (thermostat-operated solenoid valve) for steam-based systems.
